You can receive an advanced tax credit from the government that lowers your monthly insurance costs — every month. Depending on income and family size, you may qualify for an additional help that lowers your cost share with a reduced deductible and reductions in other out-of-pocket expenses. Need help? How to get and use a tax credit:
- Find out if you qualify—click here. Use this simple tool to see if you qualify for a tax credit for monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs when you use services. From this tool, you’ll be able to view the estimated monthly cost of our plans, based on our estimate of your eligibility. For example, a family of four earning less than $97,000 (or an individual earning less than $47,080) would qualify, assuming they don’t have access to insurance through their employer.
- Go to Yourhealthidaho.org to purchase one of our plans. To get this tax credit, you must purchase through Your Health Idaho. Your insurance broker, folks here at Mountain Health CO-OP, or other community resources can help you through this process, if you would like assistance.
What if you don’t qualify for a tax credit?
If you do not qualify for a tax credit, you can still purchase our coverage. Talk to your insurance agent, the folks here at Mountain Health CO-OP or any of the community resources in place throughout Idaho. Click here to browse our plans.
